About Scott Bussen
“Performing has always been in my blood!” Scott LOVES making people smile and laugh. After singing and playing for his Great Aunt Ida in a nursing home over 30 years ago, Scott soon realized the joy music brings to people, and found this style of performing to be most rewarding. Throughout his career, he's acted in films and on stage, been a radio announcer, hosted game shows and many other entertaining roles. Scott adapts to his audience and enjoys playing shows for all ages. He's performed at art shows, festivals, fairs, private gatherings, corporate and charity events, and many other venues. Scott grew up in St. Louis, and after living in Colorado, Kentucky and Maryland, recently relocated to Springfield, Missouri to be closer to family and friends.

Played in the spirit popular TV game shows from the past 50 years, along with rounds of trivia challenges curated by Scott, the experience aims to bring out the best of each player and match each program’s overall mood and theme. Expect lots of twists and turns!

What is Scott’s Trivia Game Show?It’s an interactive game show program for up to 26 contestants. The experience winds through a series of interactive participatory games reminiscent of TV Game Shows as hosted and presented by professional entertainer Scott Bussen. A few of Scott’s skills, which include music, juggling and comedy elements, are displayed throughout the program. It’s a friendly contest of wit and wisdom that’s woven with fun!

What games are played?Shows are presented in various lengths with several game options. Games may include: Match Game, Password, Price is Right, Pyramid Game, I’ve Got a Secret, Here Comes the Jury, Scott’s Mystery Flash Card, To Tell the Truth, Obscure Trivia and Scott’s Interpretive Challenges. A final trivia round will determine a winner.

What type of trivia is used in the program?All trivia is for general audiences and players will encounter a multitude of brain puzzlers, facts & figures, weights & measures, questions & quandaries about the natural world, people, places and culture with timely and relevant topics as well.

How long does the program last?Basic programs last about 1 hour in duration. Custom Programs are unique to each situation. Please inquire about options available for your event.

How much performing space is needed for the program?A minimum area of 10’ x 10’ is required for each performance. In addition, 1 large table with 2 chairs for contestants is required, or 2 smaller tables with 2 chairs.

How much does the show cost?The show is available in 2 levels. The Basic Program begins at $150.00. This includes 5 rounds of trivia mixed with 3 TV Game Show contests, as well as a few of Scott’s own personally curated challenges. Custom Programs are designed around a private event or particular venue. These shows require more preparation, and therefore more time and cost. Custom Programs may include participants to act as foils or ringers to add an element of surprise to the show. Players for these shows receive a summary breakdown of the event prior to the performance. Please inquire about pricing and the flexible options available.

What level of participation is required from the event organizer?Assistance from a guest to serve as Judge/Scorekeeper is required. A pre-set seating area accommodating up to 25 players is also required. Props, questions, prizes and sound equipment are provided by Scott.

Who would enjoy participating in the show?Lovers of trivia, factoid enthusiasts, history buffs, fans of word games and light-hearted competition, and others will enjoy Scott’s Trivia Game Show. All games are politically correct and for general audiences. The more participants become involved, the more fun for everyone!

How are shows booked?Shows are booked through the online booking platform GigSalad. As a Professional Musician and Entertainer, I rely on this platform to facilitate many aspects of my live performances.
